Israel intensified its military operations against Hamas, as troops recovered the bodies of five hostages in Gaza’s tunnel system. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Israeli troops after a Knesset session where he said, “We will not stop fighting.” Hamas and the Islamic Jihad reportedly turned down a deal for a permanent ceasefire proposed by Egypt that would have required Hamas to give up control of the Gaza Strip. A 7,000-person-strong migrant caravan—the largest one in over a year—is traveling through Mexico and heading toward the United States, with more joining along the way.
