
Rain Expected to Linger in Southern California Friday; Dry Weekend Ahead

LOS ANGELES—Showery conditions were expected to persist Dec. 22 following off-and-on downpours that doused much of the Southland since Dec. 20. National Weather Service (NWS) forecasters said there was still a good chance of showers in the Los Angeles area early Friday morning, including some “higher intensity bursts of rain.” “On Friday as the low continues to move east shower activity should shift east as well with the best chances over L.A. and Ventura Counties and rates mostly under a half inch,” according to the NWS. “Showers expected to taper off Friday night with dry and warmer weather Saturday and Sunday.”...
