Homes Feared Lost as Bushfires Burn Around Western Australia

Homes have reportedly been razed and two men injured as out-of-control bushfires challenge firefighters in Western Australia. Five emergency-level blazes have torn through bushland, rural properties and the suburb of Parkerville in Perth’s hilly east in the past 48 hours. Social media footage of the Parkerville fire shows flames and smoke billowing from at least one property and a vehicle as water bombers attack the fire from above. Paramedics transported two men in their 60s to a hospital, one with burns not considered life threatening and the other an injury to his foot.
