
Rudy Giuliani Ordered to Pay Former Election Workers Immediately After Defamation Lawsuit
A federal judge has ruled that former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani must immediately begin paying the $148 million to two former Georgia election workers who sued him for defamation. In a ruling handed down on Wednesday, U.S. District Court Judge Beryl Howell sided with a request from the two workers, Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shay” Moss, who had argued that Mr. Giuliani did not have the financial means to pay them after a 30-day stay on the payouts was lifted. Mr. Giuliani, who served as President Donald Trump’s legal adviser in 2020, is reportedly facing financial troubles.
