Supreme Court Justice Jackson Targeted in New Ethics Complaint

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was accused in an ethics complaint on Tuesday of “repeatedly” failing to disclose that her husband received income from medical consulting fees. The conservative-leaning Center for Renewing America, led by former Trump administration official Russ Vought, sent a complaint to the Judicial Conference, stating that the justice didn’t report some of her husband’s income for at least a decade. It called on the conference to refer the complaint to Attorney General Merrick Garland to launch an ethics investigation. The letter said that judges are legally mandated to disclose the source of “earned income earned by a spouse from any person which exceed $1,000,” adding that if the spouse “is self-employed in business or a profession, only the nature of such business or profession needs be reported.”...
