
6 Arrested, One Rescued by LAPD in Alleged Prostitution Ring
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) arrested six people allegedly involved in a prostitution ring and rescued one minor believed to be one of its victims, according to a Dec. 18 report by the department. LAPD vice officers conducted a series of undercover surveillance operations from Dec. 10 through Dec. 16 along the Figueroa Corridor targeting lewd conduct, prostitution, and human trafficking, according to the department. During the operations, undercover officers observed numerous individuals approaching and soliciting women for sexual services, the report said.
