President Joe Biden’s son on Dec. 13 went to Washington but insisted he would only answer questions from members of Congress in public, potentially setting up contempt proceedings. “I’m here today to answer at a public hearing any legitimate questions Chairman Comer and the House Oversight Committee may have for me,” Hunter Biden told reporters outside the U.S. Capitol. Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) subpoenaed Mr. Biden and has said he must sit for a deposition behind closed doors. Mr. Biden and his lawyers have repeatedly said he would only answer questions in public.
