Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) reiterated interest in a 2024 presidential run in a new interview with the Washington Post, saying she is now considering running as a third-party candidate because she doesn’t want to see former President Donald Trump back in office. “Several years ago, I would not have contemplated a third-party run,” Ms. Cheney said. “I happen to think democracy is at risk at home, obviously, as a result of Donald Trump’s continued grip on the Republican Party, and I think democracy is at risk internationally as well.” A vocal critic of the former president, Ms. Cheney was one of the few Republicans who voted to impeach President Trump. She also sat on the January 6 Select Committee that said he was responsible for the violence of that day in 2021....
