
Los Angeles Serial Robber Gets 10 Years in Federal Prison

LOS ANGELES—A Los Angeles man who robbed gas stations and markets during a month-long crime spree that included a carjacking was sentenced Nov. 29 to 10 years behind bars. Namir Greene, 23, was also ordered by U.S. District Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett to pay restitution of $17,084, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Mr. Greene pleaded guilty in September to one federal count of interference with commerce by robbery. During the crimes, Mr. Greene brandished a gun, threatening to shoot store employees if they did not retrieve money from the cash registers, according to his plea agreement filed in Los Angeles federal court....
