8-Year-Old Girl Dies After Los Angeles Bus Stop Crash That Also Killed Mother

LOS ANGELES—An 8-year-old girl who was critically injured when an SUV slammed into a bus stop in South Los Angeles on Thanksgiving, killing the girl’s mother, died Nov. 28, police said. The unidentified girl and her mother were at a bus stop around 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the 1700 block of West 83rd Street, just east of Western Avenue and several blocks south of Florence Avenue, when an SUV went onto the sidewalk and struck them, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAPD).
