Toronto Jewish Private High School Evacuated Over Alleged Bomb Threat

A Jewish private high school in Toronto has been evacuated following an alleged bomb threat. The Anne & Max Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto (CHAT), located on Wilmington Avenue, North York, was evacuated around 12 p.m. EST on Nov. 15 following a reported threat received by the police, according to a Toronto Police Service (TPS) statement posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. Police closed roads around the school and deployed a K9 unit to assist in the investigation. Aviva Polonsky, a CHAT faculty member and president of the Federation of Teachers in Hebrew Schools in Toronto, described the incident as “unreal.”...
