Woman Killed, Man Injured in Redondo Beach Vehicle Crash

REDONDO BEACH, Calif.—A woman was killed Nov. 12 and her male passenger injured, while a 34-year-old man from North Dakota was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Officers responded to reports of a vehicle crash at the intersection of Lilienthal and Alvord lanes, west of Hawthorne Blvd. and north of 190th St., around 9:35 a.m., according to Redondo Beach police Lt. Mark Valdivia. The officers found the female driver had died at the scene from her injuries and her male passenger was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Mr. Valdivia said.
